Recruitment of Chief Security Officer (CSO) & Security Officers at TMB.
Chief Security Officer (Scale – III):
The ideal candidate should be a Major and above in Army or a person of equivalent rank in Navy / Air Force or A Police Officer of the rank of SP or person of equivalent rank in Para military Forces. Inbuilt experience mentioned in qualification criteria. Also he should posses knowledge in handling technological gadgets available in the market for security purpose.
Age Limit: Not more than 55 years as on 31.12.2010.
Eligible candidates shall be appointed in the cadre of Scale III.
Role of the Chief Security Officer:
* Evolving security policy / program for the bank, based on the Government/RBI/IBA guidelines from time to time.
* Classification of branches/areas in to risk-wise (High risk, Normal risk, Low risk), based on the relevant factors.
* Inspection and improvement of layout of branches for security effectiveness, access control measures and administration of Identity Card system.
* Hardening targets by improved systems of locking, introduction of safety gadgets such as burglar alarms, fire extinguishers emergency lights, etc.
* Evolving and maintaining security standards at all areas.
* To work/Assignment under the general supervision, direction and control of the Top Management.
* To plan the strategy for the security and to maintain it in a state of high efficiency. He is also responsible for the training, discipline and morale of Bank’s security staff including Security Officer deployed in Regional Offices and Security Guard at Branches / Offices etc.
* To maintain close liaison with the Police and other Central / State Government authorities, Fire Brigade and other local functionaries, so as to secure their co-operation and co-ordination.
* To collect intelligence data so as to keep himself informed of internal and external developments on matters affecting the security of the Bank.
* To undertake visits to various Offices of the Bank and surprise checks of branches / ATMs on security aspects from time to time.
* To formulate guidelines for the use of security staff in areas such as escorting cash from one place to another, both within the branch and outside, steps to be taken before, during and after a hold-up, what is to be done when there is a disturbance, riot, fire, search by police, etc.
Security Officers (Scale – I):
The ideal candidate should be have completed Graduation or any equivalent qualification with experience as an officer with 5 years of commissioned service in Army/Navy/Air force and not below the rank of Captain or equivalent or an Officer of identical rank in Para Military Forces with 5 years experience.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years as on 31.12.2010.
Eligible candidates shall be appointed in the cadre of Scale I.
Role of the Security Officers:
* They are in charge of supervision and monitoring of the security arrangements at Branches / ATMs under their control.
* To work under the direct supervision, control of the Superior & Top Management and report to the Chief Security Officer.
* To maintain the Security Guards provided in the branches / ATMs in a state of high efficiency and he is responsible for their training, discipline and morale and towards this, to issue necessary instructions / direction within the framework of the policy outlined by the Bank through circulars / letters, etc.
* To assist/consent authority in the selection of Security Guards for the Branches / ATMs.
* To maintain close liaison with local Police, Fire Brigade, etc.
* To inspect the branches including Off-site ATMs under his jurisdiction at periodical intervals to assess the security arrangements in vogue and suggest means for strengthening these arrangements if warrants.
Pay and Allowances:
Scale I – Rs. 21,700/- (Basic+DA) Approximately
Scale III – Rs. 38,500/- (Basic+DA) Approximately
In addition, he will be eligible for facilities like, Gratuity, Pension, Leave Encashment, and Leave Fare Concession for self & dependent family members, Bank’s Accommodation or Leased Accommodation, Reimbursement of Conveyance Charges/Fuel Expenses, Entertainment Expenses, Medical Aid & Hospitalization Expenses for self & dependent family members, etc. as applicable under Bank’s rules.
General Conditions for all the above jobs:
Probationary Period:
The candidates will be on probation for a period of one year. At the end of the probationary period they will be subjected to a screening process to evaluate their performance before being confirmed in service. Probation may also be extended.

The candidates should appear for interview. The Venue, Date and Time for interview will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually.
